Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha better recognized by her stage and screen name Gugu Mbatha Raw. Her popularity grew after appearing in the BBC science fiction TV series Doctor Who. Chelsea Joy Handler was born on February 25 1975 in Livingston, New Jersey. Handler was the first child born in a large family. Handler grew up with a family comprised of six children. Her mother was employed at home while her father was a dealer of used vehicles. Her mother is a German who emigrated to her home in United States from Germany in 1958. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989 and passed away after fighting cancer for 10 years. Handler is a Jew of the Reform movement, and her father was Jewish. Handler was blessed with a joyful and healthy life growing up in an affluent area. As a teenager and relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her acting profession. To support her family, Handler began to work as an actress. Handler's storytelling ability was discovered as she reached twenty-one. Handler then decided to make a full-time commitment to stand up comedy. Handler made her debut on the Oxygen Network's Girls Behaving badly the reality series that featured a hidden-camera/practical joke. This reality show was on from 2002 to 2005. The handler started appearing on different shows such including Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler began working on The Tonight Show as a reporter. Handler had her biggest break in 2006, when she took over hosting of E! It was called The Chelsea Handler Show. The show ran for two seasons. Handler then followed up with doing a show in the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour and in the United States. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all broadcast her stand-up show. In 2010, it was announced that the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 were made public. Roseanne is the only female ever to host VMAs.
